SUSTAINABILITY
Achille Pinto is a forerunner of the focus on sustainability that is topical today.
The fact that the company's first (and current) headquarters were located in the centre of Casnate Con Bernate, in the province of Como, contributed to the family's developing a personal sensitivity towards the holistic well-being of their company, at 360°, and that they began to talk about environmental issues even at a time when sustainability topics were far from being dealt with. In the best Pinto style, industriousness - the same as the bee in the logo - was the driving force behind this approach, quickly developing practical, green responses to the company's needs. The first substantial investments in the protection of the ecosystem arrived in the 1990s: the purification of water used for dyeing, the reduction of noise and emissions into the atmosphere. Achille Pinto's journey towards a green economy started early and continues today.
STRATEGY
The company decided to develop its own sustainability strategy and to implement it in line with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals professed by the United Nations
It aims to enhance its economic, social and environmental sustainability performance with a view to continuous improvement and to transforming its business model into a more resilient and sustainable business.
The vast portfolio of fabrics produced by Pinto enjoys the highest certifications and in the aim of making a system, collaborating with other similar entities to better convey efforts, exchange know-how and set practical goals.
REPORT
Since 2017, a sustainability report has been published which allows the company's strong commitment to sustainable development to be demonstrated to the various stakeholders.
